Nightmare at City Tech
A downloadable VR experience
Nightmare at CityTech is a VR-first horror experience set at the New York City College Of Technology, in which you are placed into a classroom (Voorhees Hall, Room V103A) and have to find your way out of the building. Given the horror theme, our maze is designed to keep you on your toes wondering now to escape this nightmare inside City Tech. In order to survive you must escape through the elevator shaft. This will be no easy task; try not to lose yourself in the process. Good Luck!
Created as part of MTEC 4800 - Interdisciplinary Team Project - for the Spring 2020 semester.
Controls:
- Standalone (Non-VR): Use WASD to move, mouse to look, left-click to pick up objects, and right-click to toggle the flashlight.
- Oculus Rift: Tilt either thumbstick to move or press them in to teleport, grip button to pick up objects, and trigger button to toggle the flashlight.

Install instructions
Standalone (Non-VR):
- Unzip the download to the location of your choice.
- Run the main executable: "Nightmare at CityTech.exe"
- Bypass any security warnings that pop up (i.e. on Windows, hit "Run Anyway")
Oculus Rift:
- As above, but ensure that the Oculus app is running first and that your headset is connected before running "Nightmare at CityTech.exe".
Oculus Quest:
- As above, but ensure that Quest Link is active before running. (At time of writing, this might mean restarting your machine and headset before connecting the cable.)
Other VR Headsets:
- Unfortunately, other headsets are not supported at this time.
